When you decide to take a Hawaiian dinner cruise, you are looking at two to four hours with check in at the harbor a little before your sail time. All day cruises are offered and usually include snorkeling, swimming, or exploring some beaches, but all end with a fabulous evening meal and a sunset not soon forgotten. Many dinner cruises because of the flexible times and lengths of the cruises can be offered as part of a larger package. Talk to your travel agent when making your reservations to make sure what is included and if there are any restrictions such as age or if children are allowed. If children are attending, special rates may apply.
If you are thinking of a themed wedding, what could be more perfect than a wedding at sea? A Hawaiian dinner cruise could be the start for a very romantic, maybe intimate wedding with a honeymoon of a lifetime to follow. With you wedding ceremony on board, performed by the Captain, a sensational dinner, along with a perfect sunset will be remembered for the rest of your life, whether it is just the bride and groom, family and friends, or just the wedding party, and what a way to start your life together! Of course you will want to talk to the cruise operator to make sure they can accommodate your plans and help with setting up your wedding cruise.
How about a special anniversary? Already romance is in the air already just with a sunset dinner cruise, but what a way to remember your past anniversaries and store away new memories for the future.
Although most Hawaiian dinner cruises call for casual attire, if you book on a larger cruise liner with fine dining and dancing, you will want to dress in formal wear. A good thing to keep in mind is that the night air can become cool quickly so bring along a light jacket or wrap. Smaller cruisers can take on sea spray from waves and if the weather conditions permit, some misty air can be tagging along. Be sensible with your shoes! You may have to remove them with boarding and shoes that grip are a plus when boarding your boat or leaving the deck.
As you depart from the harbor and enter a different realm, you will notice the majestic scenery along the shore. Sit back and relax! Menus on board depend upon the cruise you selected. Dinners can range from lavish gourmet meals and exquisite wines to a full Polynesian complement or the ever casual Mai Tai Cruise Buffet with appetizers. Of course, don’t forget the Mai Tais prepared by the crew to accompany your meal. Dancing and entertainment may also be apart of your cruise, but even if it isn’t, you still have the ocean, the sky and the wonderful coastline to keep you mesmerized.
What better way to complete your cruise than with the local marine life for entertainment and viewing. Creatures such as spinner dolphins, sea turtles, Humpback whales may be your silent companions, totally visible as you cruise along. What a memory it would be to see a whale jumping out of the water or a mother and her calf peacefully swimming along beside your vessel, as you are watching as the sun setting low over the ocean, spilling brilliant colors upon the waters as the sun sinks into the ocean, daylight slips away and darkness appears, dappled by stars and the lights from town and the city dot the shoreline as you head back port, a beautiful end to perfect dinner cruise.
